When I was pregnant with my first child, I had constant back pain. Since it was so common I thought that was a normal process during pregnancy. On the due date I chose C-Section delivery. My anesthetist found that my spine was crooked; therefore it took a long time to find the right spot for the anesthetic injection. My gynecologist also suggested for me to see an orthopedic specialist for my back problem after giving birth. I knew that I needed help, but I was too busy with my newborn baby and totally forgot about it.

In March 2007, my husband and I had a trip overseas. My holiday was totally ruined by my severe back pain. After returning to Hong Kong, my husband encouraged me to see Dr Ling, and started a series of chiropractic treatment.

I was surprised by the positive improvement after only a few adjustments. After my pregnancy I often found blood in my stools. I had done thorough testing in hospital, but the results have failed to find any answers. Since having chiropractic adjustments I have not suffered from irritable bowel syndrome and there is no more blood in my stools anymore.

I am here to thank Dr. Ling. Although the whole series of treatment has not been completed, chiropractic has, to my surprise, improved my digestive system, and is giving me better health!!

Additional note from the doctor: our patients often come in to see me for spinal problems but a majority of them will discover improvements in other areas of their body after a series of treatment. That is because chiropractic is holistic. We don’t treat the symptom; rather we always treat the vertebral subluxation that is causing disrupted nerve flow and function.
